The same goes for the surname: Chwalenski, Chwalenskij, Chwalensky. His parents' names are Petro Chwalensky and Anna Lipko (or Zacharczuk).
According to his Displaced Person card issued by the IRO, his last permanent residence was in Warszawa. He claimed to speak Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, and German. His religion is orthodox.

My grandfather went from Poland to Augsburg, Germany in 1946. He married to my German grandmother Cäcilia in 1948. Later on, they emigrated to Brazil.
